Free Parking Move in Chorley Welcomed
June 7 2012 – to Chorley Guardian
Dear Sir,
I read the comments contained in the letter from John Clarke in your edition of the 6th June, with interest and approval.
The provision for a ‘free’ parking period in Chorley’s main car parks was an issue raised in UKIP’s local election campaign leaflet as a way of boosting trade in the town centre. We would also endorse the re-opening of Market Street, with the provisos outlined in mr Clarke’s correspondence, for the same reasons.
Chorley has a long and proud history as a market town and any Ideas to improve the current situation, in these difficult times, must be given the most serious consideration. We must not allow past mistakes or political differences to stand in the way of the future prosperity of the town.
Yours faithfully
Paul Nuttall MEP
