Voting underway in UpHolland & Skelmersdale South

Two North West by-elections are taking place today, with both having UKIP candidates.

In UpHolland, UKIP candidate Gary McNulty has fought a fierce campaign focusing on local issues. Gary is the only local candidate in the UpHolland by-election and has had fantastic responses from the voters.

In Skelmersdale South, UKIP candidate Mike Brennan hopes to build on the fantastic result UKIP achieved in the ’09 County Council elections. Again, with a local issue based campaign, Mike has had fantastic responses from local residents.

Polling stations are open until 10pm tonight. Results will be published on the North West website as soon as they are announced.
